Choosing the right layout
Layouts are listed as seats / wheelchair positions. A 12/4 gives flexibility for mixed riders, an 8/4 or 4/4 suits mostly wheelchair routes, and a 13/2 keeps more seats. Non-CDL layouts top out at 14 passengers plus the driver; larger F-550 buses can carry 24 or more with several positions but require a CDL.
