Pre-Purchase Inspections

We encourage every buyer to get an independent pre-purchase inspection before the bus ships. The companies below are independent third parties, not affiliated with Best Buses For Sale. Choose whoever you trust.

Most of our buyers never see the bus in person before it ships, so an inspection is your eyes on the ground. Ask your inspector to check the chassis and frame for rust, brakes, tires, fluids and leaks, the engine and transmission on a road test, and, on wheelchair buses, a full lift cycle, the interlock and every securement position. When you book, tell them it's a cutaway shuttle bus (for example, a Ford E-450) so they send the right inspector.

Where has the bus lived? Check its home state's road-salt rust risk in our State Buyer's Guide. If it comes from a High or Severe state, ask your inspector to focus on the frame, brake and fuel lines, and the body underside.
