Do You Need a CDL for a 22-Passenger Bus?
Yes. Federal rules require a CDL with a passenger (P) endorsement for any vehicle designed to carry 16 or more people including the driver, and a 22-passenger bus is well over that line. Some states add requirements for for-hire service, schools or riders with disabilities.
