How Much Does a Reconditioned Shuttle Bus Cost? Real Prices From Our Lot

If you're looking at a used shuttle bus for sale, here's the short answer: every bus we sell is reconditioned, and as of November 4, 2026 our priced, available buses run from $21,990 to $76,990. Most of that spread comes down to four things: model year and miles, chassis size, wheelchair equipment, and how many people the bus is built to carry. Below we break down what each price range buys, using real buses on our lot right now. You can see every bus and its current price on our inventory page.

What Reconditioned Shuttle Buses Cost Right Now

On November 4, 2026 we had 12 priced buses available. A few more are reserved, and some incoming, brokered and fleet buses are priced on request. The priced buses fall into three bands:

  • Under $30,000: 2012 to 2017 Ford Transit, E-350 and E-450 buses, 6 to 14 passengers, some with wheelchair positions. Often a fit for startup NEMT operators, hotels and small churches.
  • $30,000 to $40,000: 2016 and 2017 buses: a 12 passenger diesel, a 16/2 wheelchair bus, 4/4 ambulettes. Often a fit for churches, senior communities and growing NEMT fleets.
  • $55,000 to $77,000: 2018 and 2019 wheelchair-equipped E-350, E-450 and F-550 Glaval buses, up to 28 passengers or 10 wheelchair positions. Often a fit for paratransit, tour groups and larger churches.

Prices change as buses sell and new ones arrive, so treat these as a snapshot and check the listings for today's numbers.

What Drives the Price of a Shuttle Bus

Year and miles. Newer buses with fewer miles cost more. Our 2019 F-550 Glaval has 19,500 miles and sits at the top of our range. Our 2012 and 2013 buses sit near the bottom.

Chassis size. A Ford Transit or E-350 is the smallest and easiest to drive. An E-450 or F-550 carries more people and more weight, and costs more to build. If you're weighing the bigger chassis, our post comparing shuttle bus body builders covers what sits on top of them.

Wheelchair equipment. A lift, securement retractors and floor track all add to the price. Buses built for 4, 6 or 10 wheelchairs carry more equipment than a passenger-only bus.

Fuel. Most shuttle buses run on gas, often Ford's 6.8L V10. We also have a Duramax diesel and a CNG Transit. CNG can lower fuel costs if you have access to a station.

Capacity and CDL. Under federal rules, a vehicle designed to carry 16 or more people, including the driver, needs a driver with a commercial license and passenger endorsement. So does any vehicle over 26,000 pounds GVWR. Buses built for 15 or fewer people, including the driver, are non-CDL, and many churches and NEMT companies shop for those first.

Condition and sourcing. We source rust-free buses nationwide and recondition them before sale, which shows up in the price and in how long the bus lasts you.

What Else to Budget For

The sticker price isn't the whole bill. Plan for these too:

  • Delivery. We deliver anywhere in the U.S. The cost depends on distance, so ask us for a quote.
  • Title, registration and sales tax. These vary by state.
  • Commercial insurance. Get quotes for passenger coverage before you buy, not after.
  • Inspections and program rules. Some states and Medicaid programs set their own vehicle requirements. Our guide to buying a bus for NEMT walks through the questions to ask.
  • Financing. Financing is available on our listings, which can spread the cost over time.

How to Get the Most Bus for Your Budget

  1. Start with the job. Count your riders, wheelchair users and drivers. Who will drive tells you whether you need a non-CDL bus.
  2. Ask for a FaceTime walkaround. We'll start the bus, cycle the lift and show you the parts you care about, live.
  3. Think about a matched pair or fleet. Buying identical buses keeps parts and training simple. We have a matched pair of 2018 E-350 13/2 wheelchair buses at $59,990 each and a matched set of three 2017 E-450 12/4 buses.
  4. Compare total cost, not just price. Add delivery, registration and insurance before you decide.
